Marvel announced the sequel at NYCC AND a Captain Marvel novel, to be written by Shannon and Dean Hale. Many years ago Marvel had Judith O'Brien write 2 Mary Jane novels too. I haven't read this yet, but DC has Lois Lane: Fallout, and a sequel for it on the way.
If you're looking for YA spy type novels, try Ally Carter and Jennifer Lynn Barnes. They both have similar tone to each other, but they do read differently than Forever Red. Hope this helps!
