I hope someone can help me esp my friend Karen Legge. What is the name of the artist from this same period and maybe the same school. His first name is Friedrich I think. There was an exhibition in the last decade or so that came to LA VIA NY AND or Chicago or Boston?

Karen I can't find an artist with first name Friedrich. Church is part of the Hudson River School. I know Thomas Cole and Albert Bierstadt from this school. There is John Frederick Kensett. That's the closest I can come to Friedrich. This is an American artist? Sounds more German with that name. You couldn't mean Caspar David Friedrich, could you?
