I really want to read this series but I read the first book Magic bites and it was ok but a lot of times I was just confuse there are things they don't explain. The books it's basically narrating, there's not even a lot of dialogue, I wanted to get lost in the book but it never happen. Does the series get better or is it the same style has the first one?

Kate IMHO it does get better. The first book is one of the first books Ilona Andrews wrote, and their writing style improves with time.
