The first draft always is a struggle because of the time commitment. But I would have to say my least favorite part is the stage I’m in now: setting up an author platform and finding an agent or publisher. I have to forget everything I learned 20 years ago because so much has changed.

I've written another (this time shorter) WWII historical novel, The Laconia Incident. It's a true story about a U-boat commander who sunk a British troop ship only to discover it had 1,800 Italian POWs aboard along with their Polish guards, and British passengers and crew.
