Someone named Jacob Barrington offered me a Reviewer's Copy in exchange for a review here & on Amazon "by the end of the month". I have yet to receive a link to promised book. Is this guy a scammer of some type? Is he operating with the authority of the author? Or publisher? Or Amazon?

Caiti Someone named Ara (or maybe Ara is an acronym?) contacted me to review this book early in September. It wasn't until maybe the 24th that they got back to me with a link to the book. They just contacted me again today to review a different book by the same author, but this time she was much more prompt. She also mentioned (in both e-mails) that they appreciate "honest" reviews and most of my reviews are pretty honest.

Checking back on my review, nothing changed (if you can even edit reviews on your books?) and it looks like it's visible to me, so I don't think they are tampering with reviews. My review was three stars but not very kind about some parts, so if they were trying to delete bad reviews, mine would be one of them.

Either way, I haven't had any sort of shady things happen since accepting the offer, and I see it as kind of fun. Just my experience. You could always set up a junk e-mail for it, that way it doesn't come to your main e-mail.

TL;DR: I took them up on the offer and nothing strange has happened so far.
