Yes, but it's the sort of romance you'd expect to find in a Jane Austen book and it is not the main plot.

There is, but it's not at the center of the story. It sort of just lurks at the edges, waiting patiently for the appropriate time to make an appearance.

Yes, and it turns out <spoiler>exactly as you'd expect from the first several chapters</spoiler>, but any librarian who'd put a heart on its spine instead of a unicorn (or spaceship) has read it very badly. A "paranormal romance" it's not, I'm pleased to say.
