I'd say it's almost open for anyone. Really young children might not get it, so maybe not. It is not a teeny book, though they could certainly still read it. It is also not just mature, with gore etc., it is just a book with an unusually unique and interesting plot and very well written characters. As such, it is very likeable by any age group.
