I recently have seen this book coming up on my dash and it sounds interesting, but I've also seen comments that this is actually a middle-grade book? But it's labeled YA. Can someone who has read the book tell me what they thought? Don't have anything against middle grade books, that's just not at all what I'm looking for right now

This is not a middle-grade book. If you've read Carrie Ryan's Forest of Hands and Teeth series it much in the same writing style.
