Is true salvation by Christ not a one-time occasion or act of God? To be born again is God's work, not ours. How can it be undone?

Maisha Hunter Hi Somerset,

Salvation is not an "act". It is the benefit of a covenant relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

We are saved (past tense) the moment we turn in faith to Christ in terms of being justified. We are being saved (present tense) in terms of sanctification as we are transformed into the image of Christ. We shall be saved (future tense) in terms of glorification when we are brought home to be with Christ forever.

You will see references to salvation in Scripture in all 3 tenses.
