I don't think so. There is quite a bit of swearing. The f-bomb is thrown in several times too. There are several references to sex. The is one scene with graphic foreplay (removal of clothing, etc.), but the characters don't actually have sex. Even so I would not be comfortable recommending this book to a young teen.

14-15 I would say yes! There are some swear words and a sex scene, but should be fine for an 8-9th grader.
