I came across this book on the "Best 'Strong Female' Fantasy Novels" list, so I'm curious because the review doesn't help much on this point. How/why is this a "strong female" fantasy novel?

Marc Lindsay I'd like to think that despite the fact that Jason Page is the main character, Selene Jaeger is his equal in many areas, brave, smart and tough, but also those important things that keep her feminine without being cliche.
