I read this book when I was in grade 6 and I thought it was apppropriate and there is nothing about anything more mature in regards to love. It's hard to say any books but I know the Inheritance cycle doesn't really have anything bad in it. What kind of books is she into... This book has an element of fantasy with the water horses and the inheritance cycle has dragons and elves and all other mystical, medival creatures.
