Am in love with the entire series and this waiting for the next book is slowly killing me. Since am so vested in this series, I try to notice every little thing, including the cover page. My question is who is being portrayed in the cover page? Is it Aelin or Manon? Because moon-blanched white hair and the red cape are properties of Manon whereas the sword suggests it is Aelin. Any suggestions...

Apparently, Maas thinks the model looks more like Manon than Aelin, and she also makes some interesting comments about Aelin not being the only "queen" in the book... Her blog is a very helpful place, let me tell you!

It would have to be Aelin because she’s the main character and on the front of every book. Yes her hair is sliver-ish like Manon’s but Aelin cuts her hair in this book so her hair is noticeably shorter than the other covers. The red cape gives the impression that it could be Manon but she’d have to be the main character to be on the front cover. I too share your pain waiting for the next book to come out, this is the best series I’ve ever read and probably ever will!
