Romance, but no sex. It's a YA book. So there is plenty of good romance, but it's very clean. In fact she makes a point of making the men out to be honorable! Which as a mother, makes me very happy.

There is a load of romance as it is mainly concentrated on historical romance. However i read the ebook version where the sexual contact is prohibited from further detail. Hope this answers your question :)

Personally, I'd classify this as Christian historical fiction. I've read the first two books, ordering the third now, and there has been no descriptive anything. The characters are pointedly honorable, as someone else mentioned, and it makes them all the more wonderful!
