asked:
Am I the only one who thinks the beginning of the book felt... wrong? And not just because Chaol and Celaena fight but because they fight and say terrible things to each other after she said she'll always pick him and he came to terms with who she is.

Nope.Same here. They both just acted like complete douchebags for like half the book, and I'm sitting here wondering where did that come from.
He knew who she really was since CoM and in HoF, Chaol still had feelings for her , but now we come to the moment they meet and it's :"Hurr, durr, I can't trust you, your magics are dangerous"
Same thing with her.Aelin accuses him of leaving Dorian, when Chaol barely got out of the throne room alive; abuses him for taking so long to realise where he stands and trows a bitch-fit when he calls her on her bullshit.
The problem here for me is that both characters got butchered for no adaquate reason ,other than Celeana getting hooked up with the Fae dude who is about as interesting as a drying wallpaper.
