Topherecho I think when they had eggs, Jack would poke a hole in either end with a pin, then blow the contents out with his mouth. I hope they rinsed the shell out after that, but then they strung the eggs together-poking a needle through each hole. Jack had to dangle the egg to get the needle to go through the second hole, because the needle was then inside the egg. The needle was then the snake's tongue. If you watch the movie, you kind of see this, but they made Eggsnake from nesting egg halves together. I think in the book it is whole eggs.
Adrienne Kern McClintock It was the only "toy" he had, and not much of a toy. It really was a bunch of eggshells, just taped together, pretending to be a snake. When it's all you have, you might be thrilled by something that to anyone else would be silly or stupid.
