Did anyone else have trouble with the fact that Claire ran right into Jamie as soon as she returned to Scotland? I was so looking forward to at least half a book of adventure as she tried to find him again, and instead she walked right into him as soon as she arrived! From that point on I felt at least the first half of the book was just a romp of adventures and had lost the spark of the previous novels.

I agree, I did feel like their reunion was missing something! There was so much buildup to other less important scenes I wondered why she didn't make it as tear jerking as their separation at the end of the 2nd book. I'm almost done with the 3rd book! Love Voyager ☺

She knew where she thought he was from Roger and Bree's research. So she went there via horse then stagecoach, and that made several stops along the way. Of course Claire would go to him as quickly s possible, she had been thinking he died all those years.

Yes and I was disappointed that what should have been a huge life changing event turned into a kind of goose chase, of his problems. When she should have been the only thing that mattered at the time.

But she had already found him. They knew exactly where he was. By the time she got to the printshop I was more than ready for her to see him. I would have been upset if he hadn't been there.
