I very much liked this 'first' book in the series, and would give it 4+ stars. I put quotes around 'first' because I've had a hell of a time trying to figure out a reasonable order to read more of them in. The author seems to even be a bit wishy washy on that topic. Suggestions?

I read the series in published order, then in series order, according to the timeline in the story and I prefer the published order to be honest. I believe Ms. Hicks listed an order on one of thier webpages: (if I can find that again I will edit this post)
To be honest, regardless of which order you read them in, the book in it's entirity does not jump about in the timeline, once you are adjusted to "when" the book occurs, in the series timeline, your there.

Me too I'm confused! So T. Johnson mentioned the author has a suggested reading order on his website and here it is: https://authormichaelhicks.com/book-t...

Well really there is no order to read them but there are 3 different trilogies so read all of one then decide which way to go from there like i started with First contact then worked my way through to Empire
