How do you get inspired to write?

Eric Landreneau I pay attention to the world. I read and watch stories, listen to news. Watch people. I think about what happens and how it feels, what certain human behaviors make me feel. When a book or movie fails my expectations, I try to figure out how I would make them better. When a video game elicits a profound feeling of drama and energy in me, I try to figure out how I would recreate that experiance with only words on paper.
