What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Bruce Foot It sounds obvious, but - write. Every word, every sentence you string together doesn't need to be perfect the first time you create it. I get the ideas and the words onto page (notepad, scraps of paper, smart phone notes, computer, whatever) without concerning myself too much with spelling, punctuation etc. It's a stream of thought without the speed humps. Get it down, keep moving forward, worry about the editing when it's time to edit.
