Goodreads asked Deborah D.R. Kralich:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Deborah D.R. Kralich I deal with writer's block by having several projects going at one time. I write a little on each one until one takes off. I intersperse this with constant reviewing and proofing already finished work. I am working on a 'family' of books dealing with the same general lineage over history. I started with a character in the 1900s, then wrote 4 (#5 coming soon) books about his descendant in the 1980s. Right now I am working on a book set in the 1950s featuring more characters from this family. Most of my projects in in this group, set in various decades, and it always surprises me which project finds its right track first.
