Sharon Gill asked Peter Kubicek:

I have just ordered your book Memories of Evil. Would you recommend I read Memories of Evil: Recalling a World War II Childhood first? I believe we may be related via a family from Misslitz (Miroslav). I am hoping to learn more from your book. I admire you greatly for having the courage to write about such a difficult rime in your life.

Peter Kubicek "Memories of Evil -- Recalling a World War II Childhood" is the correct title of my book.

It is most exciting to hear that we may be related via a family from Misslitz - later known as Miroslav. My mother, Ilka, nee Kobler, came from Miroslav.
My mother had many relatives there: many Baders, many Horners. Whenever I visited there as a child, I stayed with my grandmother, Cecilie Bader and everybody in town seemed to know me.

My mother, my grandmother and I were deported together to Bergen-Belsen. For me five other concentration camps followed. My mother survived Bergen-Belsen while my grandmother died there.

Please let me know more after you read my book.
