Goodreads asked Dorian Simpson:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Dorian Simpson The Savvy Corporate Innovator has been brewing for at least 5 years based on 100's of interactions with engineers, product managers and others who I saw struggling to sell their ideas. The original title was The 30 Day Corporate Innovator. The focus was (and still is) on how an innovator can develop a proposal to get an idea funded in 30 days. The feedback from early reviewers was that the "30 day" concept was a little confusing. The immediate assumption was that you can INNOVATE in 30 days. While this is possible, that is not my point. The main point is that you can develop a PROPOSAL and SELL it to get an idea funded in 30 days. Hence I changed the title, although I'm still not certain the new title is better!
