Goodreads asked Dianna T. Benson:

How do you get inspired to write?

Dianna T. Benson Ever since elementary school I've written scenes and dialogue in my head (when I was young I thought every human did this). Simply, writing stories is something my brain does, just like my respiratory system inhales and exhales, and they're always suspense in nature. I really can't stop it. Being alive, living life as a mom and an EMT, inspires my brain to write down the scenes and dialogue it creates. I love writing about ordinary people (characters) who step up to the plate when things are tough, and they overcome tribulations and trials, especially ones they choose to battle in order to help someone else or simply to do the right thing. Thanks for asking :)
