Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Melissa D. Ellis
For "ShadowShifter" I was going through a rough ending to my marriage. I needed an escape. It started as a desire to write a song and about ten chapters later I realized that was a pretty long song.... Maybe it should be a book? My first boyfriend who lived a few doors down from me as a young teen inspired the character of Broderick Cooper and of course, I based Jules Taylor after myself as a young girl. I guess I was trying to relive a time when love was easy. (Though their story is really far from easy, isn't it?)
