How do you get inspired to write?

Elisabeth Kidd See the answer about writer's block! A best-selling author I heard at a conference said, "You never hear about plumber's block, do you? It's a job - just sit down and write!"
Just writing often gives me further ideas. Or I get them from reading. I've written short stories and articles based on newspaper reports or visiting interesting places. One of my books, "The LadyShip," came from a big picture book I found on sale in a bookstore in San Francisco.
