Lou - The Long and Faraway Gone has been one of my favorite books I've read so far this year and I'm halfway into Gunshot Straight! :) It isn't stated in TLAFG but wanted to know if Wyatt and Laurie get back together? It wasn't entirely clear to me why he so suddenly broke things off, I was sad for both of them!

He is described as handsome, did you have a certain actor or historical figure you were envisioning while writing? I really love that you based Charlotte on your mother.
