Goodreads asked T.L. Scott:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

T.L. Scott I have been fortunate so far with writers block. By fortunate I mean that I have not spent too much time absolutely frustrated by it.
For me what usually works is to brainstorm through it. I just start writing possible scenarios to work my way past whatever the point is that is blocking me. If I do not find inspiration immediately I will go for a run and just let my mind wander. I often come back with a new outlook that works. I did have one situation that I could not work through no matter what I tried. I finally just threw up my hands. No, really, I threw them up and just said "truck" it. I went to the next scene of the story and worked that. The problem, as it turned out, was that I was fighting to make the scene work when it was all wrong. Well wrong at that point of the story. I worked it in later and kept rolling along.
