Originally, the Melaki Chronicle was going to be a singular book. Because it sold well and readers expected a sequel, I gave the story further thought and wrote Volume II.
The storyline was never intended to be a trilogy - as is the case with so many stories started and never finished by aspiring authors. As you are aware, Melaki has visions of the Biblical flood in which he drowns. While I could conceivably write one or more additional stories in the Melaki storyline before he meets his end, I felt that Volume II delivered a more satisfying ending to his slice of time on Earth.
While I might decide to write another Melaki sequel in the future, I have no immediate plans to and the only other story in that line is the Eliam Cross short.
I'm glad you enjoyed the story and hope you found satisfaction with Melaki's fate at the end of Volume II.
