Goodreads asked Teri Metcalf:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Teri Metcalf If you want to write--whether it's a poem, a novel, short story or memoir--my advice is like the Nike slogan, "Just do it!" Sit down and start writing whatever it is that's on your mind and wants to come out. If you have the luxury of 2 or 3 undisturbed hours to write, then do it. When you're out of energy, set it aside for a week or so. Then you can come back to it and revise. My book, Rambler Rose, underwent many revisions over nearly 18 months before I was satisfied.
