Hi Ellen, I just finished Plum Tree this minute. I don't know how this flew off my radar for so long. It's amazing. Please, tell me you are writing a new book currently? I've read both of your books. I've recommended "What She Left Behind" to numerous friends and they all have gone on to have their book clubs read. We love your writing! Please tell me there is another one coming out soon?

I am reading The Lost Girls of Willowbrook and I am liking it. I was a teen when Geraldo Rivers exposed the horrible conditions at Willowbrook.. My question is at one point you refer to someone as colored which in some circles is politically incorrect ..were you writing the term as from Sage's point of view? or the time period? Sorry the question is so long!
