Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Yvonne G. Williams My most recent book is Slaves of a Different Kind: Unshackling Our Soul to Heal America. The inspiration for this book came to me in 2003 when examining the state of our country. For the next 11 years my advocacy work in human trafficking opened my eyes to an even greater extent and I realized that human trafficking is only the fruit on the tree of man's inhumanity to man; of the underlying root causes fueling it. Slaves of a Different Kind talks to each of us as human beings and how we are all responsible for creating the culture in America that supports egregious abuses seen in sex and labor trafficking in the United States and across the world.
