Goodreads asked Stacy Thowe:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Stacy Thowe I have found after meeting several aspiring writers that they are afraid to put their work out there among the public for fear of failure. I have to say I was probably in their shoes at one time. It is hard to face rejection on a piece of work that means so much to you. I say, "Well, why are you writing then." If you are not going to share it with the world, I am not sure of the purpose. I have heard people say to write for yourself, well yes, but you already know the story and what you are going to say, the purpose is to help others, or bring a different world to the reader that they did not know existed. My advice would be to jump off that cliff. Get your work out there every way you can. Don't let it sit there collecting dust. I would say, dream and take action even if you fail.
