Goodreads asked Caroline Wright:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Caroline Wright I don't really believe in writer's block. If an idea does not come for a poem, I spend time blogging, work with an image on Instagram, paint, spend time listening to music, read, learn a new craft, go outside, spend time with friends, take photographs, observe people and nature...I'm constantly trying to do something creative so I never focus on writing so much to force it. I write when I have ideas or inspiration and that often leads to a "groove," but when I am not in a "groove," I am in research mode. I know after enough time doing research I will have another wave of material for more poems. I think it is important to do various things in between writing to become a better writer.
