Goodreads asked Nicola Ward:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Nicola Ward Perhaps I'm odd, but it's not really an issue for me. What I mean is that I am more of a spontaneous writer. I can't make myself sit down and write, I just randomly get ideas and have to write them. For example, I can go for a long time without writing a thing and then write a load of stuff in one week. When I don't have ideas, I luckily also don't seem to feel the need to write, so it don't mind it. I guess I'm lucky in that way, I know some writers need to write consistently, or they don't feel right (Pun intended) It doesn't feel like work to me since I write bits and pieces here and there, rather than writing whole chunks at once. It's nice and relaxed for me. Otherwise I would probably listen to music for inspiration, or a favourite tv show maybe, if I did want to write and had no ideas.
