Goodreads asked Brittney Cohen-Schlesinger:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Brittney Cohen-Schlesinger Don't fear anyone else's judgment about your work. Not everyone will agree or support whatever message you're trying to send to others. Some just won't understand. Others, however, will. Write for those people - the ones who will laugh at your jokes, cry at the sadness & feel utter happiness when something goes right. If you can take a reader into another place, another time, away from their mundane lives, then you've accomplished something. Write for yourself. Never give up. Seriously, never give up. Believe in your work. Because if you don't, nobody else will either.
