Goodreads asked Brittney Cohen-Schlesinger:

How do you get inspired to write?

Brittney Cohen-Schlesinger One day, it'll be a word. The next, a song. I find inspiration wherever I go. But the best writing I've ever done comes from within me, my soul. I take any deep-seeded pain & let it all go word by word. I find it to be extremely therapeutic for me to express myself in one of the best ways a human being possibly can! I don't take my ability to think, feel & speak lightly. I was given a gift being born human. I can actually impact others & change the world in some way. Getting a brilliant message across is what keeps me motivated to continue to write; exposing the "taboo" subjects many people are dissuaded or frightened to discuss. I have no fear of the judgement. The worst things I've ever experienced are in the words of my writing. Since I got persevered, I know I can get through anything else someone has to say about my works.
