Is there any material in this book that would make it inappropriate for a younger reader? Like kissing/intimate scene

The swearing involves one word repeated in one part of the book. The word starts with D and ends with N and rhymes with DAM (water blocking thing). Some people are very upset by that but I´m more concerned with the F work or others like that. I let my son read it and he loved it. There is no real romance or making out. It is an adventure story but there is a man that holds a knife to people´s throats. There is mention of blood and dead roosters being left to frighten people. The bad men also use gasoline to burn things or to scare people into obeying the main bad guy.

All the swearing is one of the great letdowns of this entire trilogy - a great pity as it always feels entirely uncalled for and out of keeping with the general atmosphere of the books.
Elizabeth
no there is no romance in this book at all hope u enjoy the book
Shannon Batista
No, not really, though there is a part where they say that one of the evil characters chews mint leaves because a girl he wanted to kiss rejected him because of his bad breath. This book was translated from German so the words might not be that bad in German, but in English probably not the best for younger readers.
Janice Kohl
Smattering of profanity throughout the story. The evil characters are depraved.
Genesis Aynaki
There is no romance, but one character gets a little too decorative with her language when she is angry at Capricorn.
Melissa
There are a few "curse words" somewhere between pages 100-200 when Meggie's Aunt is angry at Capricorn.
