Goodreads asked Theodore Suhr:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Theodore Suhr Write! Write! Write! Did I say write? You can think about, dream about, wish about, imagine about, hope about, fanaticize about, and promise about writing all you want, but if you don’t start writing it will never happen. You have to dip the oar in the water! Write about whatever trips your trigger! Write about what you know. If you don’t know something, research the topic. The internet is an unbelievable source of information at your fingertips. Write a love scene. Write a tragic scene. Write an action scene. Write a humorous scene. Practice writing. Try writing a short story. If you have an idea for a book, get started! Just do it!
