Goodreads asked Eileen Stephenson:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Eileen Stephenson I sit there and put one word on the page after another. You can put an "and" down, or a "the", or any other mindless chain of words. It gets the brain working, churning out something. You may delete 90% of what you wrote, but something worthwhile usually hits the screen and you don't feel like you can't possibly write.
