Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

D.J. Stamper My book, "Jillian McClout, Happy Scout: A Smile Is Born", began as an idea for a birthday gift for my sister, Janet. I was going to write her a simple little story about her when she was a little girl. But as I was thinking about it, thoughts of all the girls in my life as they were when they were children began swirling around in my mind and the all seemed to coalesce into a single personality. That was the birth of Jillian.
