Goodreads asked Jacqueline T. Lynch:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jacqueline T. Lynch Sometimes the idea finds you. My most current project is a non-fiction book on the career of stage and screen actress Ann Blyth, which began (and will continue through December 2014) as a series of essays on my ANOTHER OLD MOVIE BLOG. This blog is devoted to the discussion of classic films in the context of the eras in which they were made. Ann Blyth, a working actress and singer since she was six years old, faced both creative and personal challenges through a diverse career, displaying remarkable versatility, all of which so impressed me the more I learned. I wanted to devote the year on my blog as an exploration of her work and tribute to her talent. Several readers suggested I write a book, and the project grew from there. It has been joy, and I look forward to the rest of the journey on this very rewarding project.
