Amina Sadr I would allow a teenager to read it, especially since the first part would be a great lesson on vulnerability of human talents and potentials for someone who is just starting to discover them in himself. But I would provide some guidance regarding certain parts which can be misinterpreted under influence of modern issues.
Alex There isn't any strong language, nudity or violence. However, there are such themes, common in all of Dostoevski's works, that won't be understood properly by a teenager and could be influential in a bad way. I would rate it R if it were a movie.
