I believe for the majority of the book she's in her 20s. Mostly because of the scene where they're in the inn and there are 2 girls working there and she says they're so young and we find out one is 16 and one is 11. But I would agree it's confusing in the novel, there's no clear statement telling us how much time has passed. If there is I must've skimmed over it accidentally.
