read this one a while ago, and no swear words stand out to me. 'dark and creepy' will depend on your scale, but there is not overt horror, just suspense, and wrought in a way to suggest awe more than fear. and with the voice in first person, Marci isn't scared of the magic that everyone else is scared of, so creepiness might be inferred, I guess. but not direct.
