I read this book for English class and I loved it! But I am still confused about the Monseigneur in Town and Monseigneur in Country. Are they the same person?? Help!!

I loved this book too and I had the exact same question! I checked Spark-notes and it said that they are different people; Monseigneur in the country is Charles' uncle (the marquis) and Monseigneur in the town is just a random nobleman.
