I agree with Taylor. I watched the series long before I found this book, and honestly forgot the series existed. I think the books is much better, and quite a bit different!

I've watched that show and read this book and while they do have a few similarities (aliens attending human high school, humans hate aliens, aliens dislike humans) the book was so much better, and worth the read!!!
