Goodreads asked Duane L. Martin:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Duane L. Martin Before I started writing the Unseen Things series, I had made several attempts at writing both novels and film scripts, and each time I would hit a brick wall of writer's block. I'd stop for a while, thinking that if I just took a break from it, I'd get past it and I could go back to it later. You can guess how well that worked. Once I started writing the series however, I used a different tactic. I just sit down and start typing. There's nothing that can't be changed during the editing and proofreading phase, so if you just start writing and let the story take you wherever it feels like it wants to go, you can get past those writer's block speed bumps. Once you get past that one point, the story itself will lead you in the right direction so you can continue on from there.
