One of my top 5 favorite books of all time. If you've read anything by Jackson this is very much HER stylistically. Very reminiscent of The Haunting of Hill House and the Lottery, as well as The Yellow Wallpaper (Charlotte Perkins Gilman) and Where are You Going, Where have you Been? (Joyce Carol Oates)
