I looked for the Epilogue "respectfully submitted" by Kinsey which usually ends the books, but then I remembered this, went backed and checked and found this conversation.
Donna I think Mrs Grafton ran ran out of time and had to rush the ending. I really didn't appreciate it but liked the majority of the book.
Patrick I googled this same question and here is where that landed me. I loved the entire book, but the ending is so not finished.

It's definitely a cliffhanger. Plus Mariah Talbot was barely wrapped up as well, she stole the jewelry from the Hevener brothers to set up Kinsey, hoping they would turn on each other or get caught.
